Who are we
Industry Leadership
The South African Commercial Property Council is a collective initiative formed to bring the country’s commercial and industrial property brokerages together under a shared industry voice.
Commercial property brokers provide critical advisory value to landlords, tenants, investors, and developers. CPC exists to strengthen that role and help the profession act with greater unity, credibility, and strategic intent.
Our Mission
"To protect the value, voice, and future of commercial property brokerage in South Africa."
The Problem
The industry is changing.
Brokers cannot afford to stand still.
Rising platform costs, shifting commission structures, legal pressure, and technology-led disruption are reshaping the commercial property market. While individual firms continue to adapt, industry-wide challenges require a stronger and more coordinated response.
SACPC exists to bring the profession together, protect its long-term value, and ensure that commercial property brokers remain central to the future of the industry.
Rising Platform Costs
Advertising and listing-platform costs continue to increase, placing pressure on brokerage margins.
Fragmented Representation
Commercial brokerages frequently face industry-wide challenges individually, weakening their collective influence.
Pressure on Commission Structures
Brokerage remuneration and fee structures require renewed discussion, protection, and leadership.
Legal and Commercial Risk
Many brokers carry legal and commercial risks individually, often without shared support or coordinated precedent.

Shared Intelligence
SACPC believes commercial property brokerage is not a commodity function. It is a professional discipline that provides critical advisory value to landlords, tenants, investors, and developers. We stand for a unified industry voice that speaks with strategic intent.
We protect the integrity and sustainability of brokerage remuneration. By advocating for fair economic structures, we ensure that the profession remains resilient against rising platform costs and external pressures.
Encouraging ethical conduct, transparency, and commercial responsibility across the industry. We foster a culture of integrity where professional standards are upheld and commercial risks are managed collectively.
Embracing innovation and artificial intelligence as tools to strengthen, not replace, the role of the broker. We lead the integration of technology to enhance efficiency and maintain our central role in the transaction process.
Creating a platform for collaboration, shared learning, legal precedent, and inter-agency cooperation. We believe that by pooling our collective knowledge, we can shape a more sustainable and unified industry future.
